In 2003, after a career that spanned over 25 years as a financial executive and CPA, Mark entered the CFO outsourcing field. Enjoying the challenge and recognizing the growing need, he decided to form Specialty CFO in 2005.
Mark's clients as a CFO outsource specialists have been in a wide variety of industries: construction, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and not-for-profit. Assignments for these clients have included serving:
as Company CFO during acquisition transition and subsequently staffing the financial and administrative function.

Mark's experience as a financial executive has been wide ranged – preparing him for almost any challenge. He has experience with the entrepreneurial environment having set up the initial books, systems and controls for a high growth venture capital backed Company. He has worked for large multi-national Companies and understands the reporting and control network necessary to achieve scale successfully. His experience with middle market manufactures has involved developing successful responses to the pressures of global competition. Throughout his career he has tended to numerous relationships with senior lenders trade creditors and shareholders to ensure that adequate capital is available.
Mark received his BS in business administration and accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1975. He served in the US Air force for four years as electronics specialist. He is a past president of Park Country Club and currently serves on its Board of Governors. |

After twenty-seven years in public accounting followed by five years as CFO for two public manufacturing companies Tony joined SpecialtyCFO to bring this experience to its clients. Throughout his career, Tony has worked with high growth organizations having a thirst for capital and a need to rapidly develop their business processes and systems to succeed.
In recent months he has performed consulting services for companies in the business-to- business service, construction, logistics and real estate development industries to:
determine the appropriate capital structure for an acquisition;
assisted with the raising of $4.2 million in private equity;
developed a framework for measuring the financial resources needed to implement a major facility upgrade and expansion program.
Tony understands how to access the capital that businesses need realize their strategic goals. He keeps in touch with developments in all sectors of the capital markets: senior to subordinate debt and private to public equity. He has guided companies through IPO's, private placements, public debt offerings, and leveraged acquisitions. He has also worked with Companies as they have restructured through spin-offs and divestitures – supervising the tax planning and coordinating or actively participating in the communication and negotiations with all stakeholders.
In 1973, Tony received his BS degree in accounting from Canisius College. From 19995 through 2003 Tony served on the Board of Regents for Canisius and was Chairman of that Board in 2002 and 2003. He has served on the Boards of a number of civic, medical and business institutions such as Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and the Hauptman Woodward Medical Foundation. Currently he is President of the One Hundred Club of Buffalo. |

John anchors the Central New York office of Specialty CFO.
Over his nearly thirty years in accounting and finance, John has been involved in a wide range of entrepreneurial experiences, from many different perspectives. His ability to respond to any business need and his thirst for diverse experiences attracted him to the CFO outsourcing field. Recent engagements include:
the analysis of current reporting structure;
assessment of operations and proposed business changes while assisting with succession planning process;
service as a temporary or part time CFO;
development of business plan and request for financing.
These engagements have involved a wide variety of organizations such as a large full-service general contractor, start-up company, a large not-for-profit philanthropic organization and a program-oriented not-for-profit.
John has extensive expertise every facet of the CFO function: strategic growth initiatives, debt/equity funding, joint ventures, licensing, financial reporting and communication, operational and capital budgeting, risk management, investment management, financial department supervision and personnel mentoring, benefit plans, tax planning and compliance. John is versed in comprehensive analysis of effectiveness of business procedures and policies.
In 2004, John was the CFO of a start-up company in the telecommunications industry where he was involved in strategic planning, development and refinement of the company's business plan and financial business model. He completed two private placements under SEC Rule 506. Previously, Lauchert spent 20 years as CFO of a manufacturer of heating and cooling products whose revenues grew from $12 million to over $100 million through a series of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, numerous licensing arrangements and formation and participation in several joint ventures. John was intimately involved with all facets of each of these initiatives. Other experiences include a stint as commercial banking officer and four years with a Big Four accounting firm.
John is involved in a wide variety of community activities. He has served as Rotary club President, Chairman of a county-wide chapter of the American Red Cross and been active in on numerous not for profit boards and committees. Presently he serves as a Board and Executive Committee member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, is a member of the Utica Rotary Club and is a Board member for Clinton Youth Hockey Association.
John received his B.S and MBA from Cornell University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York. |
